Trust in our combined clinical experience and desire to see every child succeed.
We have the education, research experience, and practical know-how to help your special education child through the wobbly times in school. Our educational consultants use theories from school neuropsychology and educational neuroscience; we will develop specific programming for your child providing depth to the IEP.
Our Functional Assessments use psychometric testing, home visits, school visits, and interviews with the parent(s) to delve into why your child struggles in the school (and home) environment.
We have a special assessment and program for Autism and ASD students based on neuropsychological research. Our out-of-the-box thinking helps students improve their functioning while respecting their neurodiversity. Contact us for more details.
Memory has many working parts under three divisions: short-term, working, and long-term.
Short-term memory includes Verbal Immediate, Visual Immediate, and Verbal/Visual Immediate.
Working memory can divided into verbal and non-verbal working memory.
Long-term memory has four categories: Delayed Associative, Semantic Memory, Verbal Long-Term, and Visual Long-Term.
We have assessments to identify the exact points of difficulty, as well as protocols and therapies to improve each area.
We can also help parents in this area. Contact us for more details.
Families can be deeply affected by the struggles of raising a special education student. Therapy and counseling are also available to support the family on their journey with their well-loved child.
Our educational consultants work with parents and schools to facilitate educational and behavioral change. Drawing from research, experience, and clinical work, we know that there are therapies that can help children heal their sensorimotor system, processing, and executive functions. We specialize in working with special education neurodiverse students, including ADHD, Autism, and neurodevelopmental disorder. Learning difficulties that stem from math disorders, language disorders, and trauma-based behaviors can also be examined.
Teachers want and need clear explanations for their student's struggles. MARC plans lay out where the struggle lies and what modifications, accommodation, remediation, and compensations are necessary which results in a more practical IEP for your special education student. See the handout below for more details.
